Created in 2012 by Marie Delachaux, great-granddaughter of Léon Delachaux, the Léon Delachaux Endowment Fund’s mission is to retrace the life and work of the artist.
It is a private, non-profit organization with a philanthropic vocation and, as such, is governed by a board of directors, chaired by Marie Delachaux.
Art historians, researchers, and consultants develop essential tools for research, analysis, archiving, conservation, and communication.
Objectives of the Léon Delachaux Endowment Fund
- creation of a documentation database and an inventory of the artist’s works with the aim of publishing a catalogue raisonné,
- research on the life and work of Léon Delachaux in the different countries where he lived and practiced,
- highlighting of the work of Léon Delachaux and his place in art history,
- conservation and restoration of the art collection to allow for the circulation, knowledge, and diffusion of Léon Delachaux’s art, particularly within the context of cultural events,
- loan of works of art to museums, and public institutions,
- publication of works concerning the artist.
